Prophesy of the Horn

Into darkness I will fade Prophesy of the Horn
Into a night that man has made
but through that gloom shall gleam the sun
When I am lost; and again am won.

Release! Release! I call to thee
In new lands across the sea
Let another, on narrow pathways, come to me.
Furthest and Highest, yet not beyond reach.
Choose thou well a path that will teach:
How the sunken is raised and emptiness is filled
And a wandering heart can finally be stilled.

Seek the Great Stone! Mark it well, with a sign
And those who see it shall know it is mine
And seeing shall ponder and certainly know
As the Ancients have writ “As above, so Below

And I shall guard the source of Greatness
Waiting by a teardrop
From neither joy nor sorrow born
In silver bound, Beneath the ground,
I am the Spiral Horn.

( a very old, stunningly beautiful and emotional piece of writing that contains many deep truths)

Cycles of Awakening

“In truth we Live, In life we Reveal”

As we all know very well, life has a way of always going forwards with hopefully us with it, and of course what is meant to be surely will be. We as individuals do need to constantly move forward regardless of whatever else is going on around us, especially within the lives of others. In order to tread the universal foothills in search of knowledge we have to be very aware of the pitfalls that stem from the everyday lives of others, pitfalls that only serve to hold us back, imprisoning us in the mundane. For at the end of the day we are all living our own very special and individual lives and not the lives of anybody else. Life is a gift upon a true path of learning and to waste it would surely be improper. Do not let the ups and downs of the world or the problems of others around you, mar your own view of life, do not let the misfortunes of others cloud your visions, for by doing so you are wasting away your own precious gift, a gift too precious to measure. We all have our unique paths of destiny to complete; we all have our own journeys to walk and to stand still upon the shores of time is not what we were created for.

Humans are individuals, originally created with a purpose to their ‘gods’, yet some (known as ‘traits’) were gifted with a far higher purpose and with tutouring and teaching have the potential to evolve above and beyond the plan intended for non traits. The world, the universe can become a greater place of learning and knowledge of the true old ways. And thus in time we, as traits,  will learn where we came from, whom we really are and how we evolved and can evolve; this is a great gift of truth in itself. Those with sight and insight know this, are aware of what is around them. They know how to use their gifts while those that ‘just are’ will always ‘just be’; forever in the dark without even being aware of this very fact. Many humans are in prison but have no idea of this fact.

So then, strive upwards upon the ladder towards the ‘stars’ for it is there that the truths of our ancestors are to be found. The earthly plain is home for just a very short cycle and as we know all cycles must begin and then end, but with the final end cycle fast approaching we know that we can thus make way for a brand new beginning. It is well known that all new beginnings must first have an ending – so as to complete the cycle. Those who learn, who do not stand still in time, those who evolve above and beyond their perceived humanity into a future of truths and revelations will surely be a part of the new cycle; a new dawn to be fully embraced by those who dare step over the threshold. It is a challenge, it is a big dare and in reality only a few will take this final step and rise like a phoenix from out of the flames of chaos.

There are those around who can open the doors, who can lead those with insight, perception and hidden gifts into a future unknown previously by most, but the few can become the many for those of The Way. Great truths require great leaders, needing  those who dare to tread the road less travelled, yet they are not always whom one thinks they are. We share LIGHT and truth with those who truly seek. We are family bonded and bound by the blood ties of centuries past, ties that take us into the future, always moving with the universal tides and to the rhythm of our own dear hearts. Our life is our joy and our joy is in sharing to all who come through our doors seeking the wonderful truths of life.

‘The Keeper of Scrolls’

The Devil and I…..

Betwixt the strokes of the clanging bell

Midnight hangs like a waiting shroud.

There’s a place so dark no shadows fall;

Tis a void amidst the changing years

So go not there for you’ll not return.

Behind the chimes of the old and the new,

Is an alleyway ancient between the realms

And in this place you must not wait

Lest you be seen by those who observe.

Only the brave will want to go.

Only the courageous will want to know.

For this is the land at the end of time;

The forgotten land where the Devil rides out.

If you hear him, you must close your eyes.

If you see his chariot above the skies

You must wish three wishes so he’ll then pass by.

Do not linger and do not look

For if you do, your soul he will pluck.

At the stroke of midnight

Just walk away,

Do not look back

And do not stay.

How do I know this?

How could this be?

Well of course

The Devil and I keep good company…..

The Devil Rides Out...

The Devil Rides Out…

In Circle Dark…..

On this night of thinning veil ‘neath death’s dark cloak, a shadow falls.
As spirits call their eerie cry we meet…

Hands wrenched tight in circle cast by cauldron burning bright.
In wind so chill, by flight of bat, we wait…

On cold, damp earth by elder tree, born of blood and bone.
A sudden chill, an icy breeze, with pounding hearts we call…

As midnight rises through our veins and sacred herbs we burn.
Our darkest fears are manifest; the Shadow spirals in…

Yet on this eve of thinning veil the darkness we embrace.
A womblike shroud encapsulates, we hold our breath; we wait….

“we hold our breath…we wait..”

Angel of Destiny

I looked for love but there was no one there

I plucked an Angel from the midnight air

All my words were lost in time

Trapped in a world without a rhyme

In the starry night I felt battered and torn

I searched for a reason for being born

Over and over and alone I cried

Tossed on the winds of fate I died

Can a thousand good deeds ever right wrongs

Will this world ever know the Song of Songs?

When the spoken word is spoken no more

Will the tides of blood still kiss the shore?

I was lost in a place that was out of time

I was out of sync with human kind

I saw my gods but did they see me

If I imagined them did they imagine me?

Does a kiss on the lips from another soul

Or a heart felt hug make one whole?

Wishes and dreams and starry illusions

Are all very well yet lead to confusion

I travelled far and I travelled wide

The Angel was constantly at my side

He told me the truth of my fate and my rhyme

And he taught me how to decipher time

Too many questions I had to ask

I couldn’t keep silent, hated the farce

In the dark of the night, in the cold light of day

My Angel constantly showed me the way.

He told me the truth of the rhyme and the nine

He gave me the code to the sphere of time

I saw him drink from the chalice of blood

I knew what he wanted, I gave it with love.

I began to fly, I caught the winds

Took control of my breath, learnt from my sins

As each dawn is new and each darkness fresh

My Angel gave me eternal bliss.

A Natural Universe…..

An ancient clay tablet

So what exactly do we consider to be natural in this world today and what precisely does it mean to follow a natural path; a path of nature? Many folks today who follow a pagan spirituality connect deeply to the seasons of the year, honouring  the wheel of the year by celebrating at the eight quarter days and cross quarter days; the fire festivals and equinoxes. Although these dates and days can vary accordingly to tradition, custom or culture, they are the days of sacred connection and are deeply embedded in the natural cycles and energies of this planet.

Over the centuries of time, mankind’s perception of what is natural cannot fail to have changed as wisdom and knowledge of the world has constantly evolved and expanded and with it humanities relationship to the natural world. Yet the world has always been what is was meant to be; the living, evolving planet on which we all depend for our nourishment and our life – it is that which sustains us. What we as human beings achieve and learn whilst living on this planet influences our own individual perceptions of the world and this also changes from generation to generation. In actual fact we all do ‘create our own realities’, realities that differ from centuries to centuries, generation to generation, individual to individual yet the world on which we all depend remains steadfast and very much alive, despite all that mankind throws at it..

As far as caring for and looking after this planet goes ‘guardianship’ is something that we all as spiritual beings are very much aware of and many of us share a deep sense of responsibility to do all we can to preserve what we have here on earth. To me the Earth is indeed the shinning  jewel in the crown of the universe – it is the enduring ‘mothership’.

Yet on a universal level we are but a very small part of the universal truths and as human beings we are only a very small part of the overall plan. Life of earth is very, very precious and yet this gift is often wasted by many who sadly fail to realise that we are all a part of a ‘whole’; all connected by the threads of the past, present and future that bind us together as one.

Waves of energy resonate within our lives and within our world and nothing is ever disconnected; every thing we do, every action we take has an effect on someone or something. But this is the natural order of things, it is the physics of the universe; how it all works on a metaphysical level is the real natural order of our world, for without the physics, the numbers, the maths so to speak, there would be nothing. As is written in many sacred texts, order came out of chaos and it is that order that makes our world and the universe in which it resides work. It is also that which makes our world such a beautiful, magical and wonderous planet on which to live.

‘The Keeper of Scrolls’

What mysteries do they long to tell, what secret truths their powers unlock, within our minds where magic dwells?”

Wormwood for bites and stings

It is oh so very hot at the moment and with the hot weather well into its stride, our gardens and parks are alive with various small creatures of the wing, constantly endeavouring to make a tasty meal of us! Even as pet owners we are very much aware at this time of year that our beloved pets do come with many extra ‘visitors’ attached! So then what can we do ourselves about these insect bites which can so often prove to be very painful and irritating to us?

One of the most useful herbs to have around at this time of year is Wormwood which is a shrub native to North Africa but of course is now found growing in the UK. It has grey to white stems that are covered in fine silk hairs and grows between thirty to ninety centimetre tall.

Wormwood Physical Use: Wormwood has strong antifungal and antibacterial properties. It is best used for the treatment of hepatitis, fever, liver, gallbladder and general infections. When smouldered in a room it will help to boost the immune system and aid the clearing of toxins. Very important for this time of year, is to make it into a paste with olive oil for arthritis, skin conditions and for insect bites and stings.

Wormwood has many magical uses too and for those of us practising and teaching the Templar path, extensive herbal knowledge on the healing and magical use of herbs has been received as a part of our in-depth training. Please ask if interested on finding out more about the uses of herbs and stones from a unique Templar/Craft perspective.

Warning: can be addictive. May cause nausea, vomiting and insomnia. People with epilepsy should avoid.
